Jim has been in the community newspaper business since 1987 and has been the publisher of the Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows News since November of 2000. He is a past president of the Chamber of Commerce, an active Rotarian, a youth soccer coach and he sits on the boards of the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation and the BC and Yukon Community Newspapers Association.

Lisa has been a resident of Maple Ridge for the past 17 years and in the newspaper business since 2000. She is actively involved in the Ridge Meadows Minor Hockey Association, local secondary high school PAC committees, the Hospital Foundation Gala Organizing Committee to name a few. She actively participates in and sponsors numerous local events, non-profit groups and businesses. Lisa has been with Black Press for 12 years, and manages the Advertising and Creative Services Departments at The News. She is the recipient of the Presidents Award from Black Press, along with multiple Ma Murray Advertising awards.

Michael Hall has been a journalist for 16 years, the past eight as editor of the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows News.

Monisha Martins
Monisha Caroline Martins has been a reporter since 1999. She has worked previously in Asia and Australia. Her beats include crime, courts, city council, human rights, homelessness, drug addiction and the arts. Since she was hired by Black Press, Ms. Martins has won several journalism awards for breaking news, feature writing, arts and election coverage.
