The event will be held at the South Bonson Community Centre, 10932 Barnston View Rd.

The doors will open at 7:30 a.m. for a continental breakfast courtesy of Stomping Ground Coffee House and Bistro, serving baked goods and coffee.

The symposium begins at 8 a.m., and there will be displays by local businesses and organizations with a focus on health services.

Keynote speakers – four professionals in the field of health and fitness– start at 8:30 a.m. and will continue every hour until 11:30 a.m.

Promoters say the event offers: “An up-close-and-personal connection with business and healthcare professionals that can help you get fit, stay healthy, and injury free.”

The symposium is geared to the everyday, mature, weekend warrior, wanna-be-fitter athlete, and is intended inform patrons of the many choices offered in the community.

Ticket are on sale for $20 at Stomping Grounds, Envision Fitness, Sole Experience, Maple Ridge Cap’s Westwood Cycle, the Runners Den Port Moody, and In The Zone Fitness Pitt Meadows. Tickets at the door will cost $25. Admission includes a complimentary swag bag, and there will be food samples at the event.
