Scotch broom and Himalayan blackberry were removed from the property to make room for a future outdoor school for at-risk youth. The alternative program will be geared for students aged 13 to 18 and will be an educational farm. There were 11 volunteers for the weekend project, seven of them from Maple Ridge.
