Get together in Maple Ridge's ACT honours those with disabilities
A free community barbecue will be taking place at the ACT on Oct. 18 in honor of Community Living Month.
Every October various community agencies come together to host a celebration to acknowledge the contributions and achievements of people with developmental disabilities.
This year the barbecue will take place on Thursday, Oct. 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside the front doors of the ACT along 224th Street. There will be free hot dogs and homemade cookies and live entertainment by local indie band Stone Poets, featuring Scott Jackson, Marc Gladstone and Cherelle Jardine.
