Avid recreation enthusiast Ron Paley, of Hammond, completed a two-hour, 24-kilometre bike ride recently through Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows in honour of the health-care professionals who saved his life back in November 2018. “I dedicate today’s bike ride to the nurses, doctors, and staff who helped me through my quintuple open heart surgery,” he shared. “I got a second chance from them to continue enjoying my passion for the outdoors. Save a life, your a hero! Save a 100 lives, your a nurse.” (Special to The News)
