While on a stroll along the riverfront in Kanaka Creek Regional Park late last week, Roberto Garelli spotted this Canada goose on the pilings in the Fraser River. The goose, otherwise named a Branta canadensis, was taking care of his mate in a nearby nest, Garelli suggested. (Special to The News)
