Evening of classic country at Opry
Join more than 30 performers at the fifth annual Ridge Meadows Opry, a celebration of country music at the Arts Centre Theatre in Maple Ridge.
The Opry is a celebration of classic country entertainment. It is funny, fast moving and constantly changing styles with no breaks in the action.
This year’s show is an all-new production with many of familiar faces and a wagon of new acts.
There will be classic country music and the popular Alouette River Band, featuring Len and Sharon Hatlelid, Randy Moore, Denis Leclerc and Larry Conners.
Joe Boisevenue, Sharleen Day, John Fatiaki, Christine McKay, Rick Moyer (aka Rockin Rick), Charlotte Kingsbury, Del Kingsbury, Vince Kreiser, Jamye Leclerc, Debbie Schemenauer, Samantha Schemenauer, David Wagner and Rochelle Servo will also perform.
Several duos including Lou Earl and Eileen Brown, "Prairie Pride" Emily and Michael Olexson as well as Lisa and Martin Shepherd will take the stage.
Michael Puhallo, the most widely published cowboy poet in Canada joins the Opry for the fifth year.
The Wild West Can Can Dancer will add spice during the first and second acts.
Proceeds from the Ridge Meadows Opry will be shared with the Asante Centre for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS), a local, non-profit organization.
