Wiz of the West

This Saturday follow your friends from the Land of Oz through the wild, wild west of yesteryear – but with a twist .... or should we say a twister?

Join the Missoula Children’s Theatre and more than 50 students from Whonnock elementary as they perform in the original musical production of The Wiz of The West.

The cast features Dotty, Mooch, Scared Crow, Tinhorn, Lionel, Hawknose Halley and Dr. Ozzy, the wonderful wizard of pioneer potions and tall-tale tonics. The four friends tangle with top dog’s bunch of bad barkin’, back bitin’ bow-wows, including Mad Dog and Bad Dog. To complete the ensemble, there will be Coyotes, the Munch Kin, Buzzards and Tarantulas.

• The Wiz of the West plays Saturday, Oct. 15 at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at Whonnock Elementary. Tickets are $8 and are available by calling Lisa Yarosloski at 604-462-0049.
