Philosophers Café resumes

Philosophers’ Café picks up again tomorrow night at Blenz Coffee. Nigel Harvey, the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadow artist-in-residence, will be leading a discussion on “What is the role of the artist in society? Is it trickster, shaman or everyperson?” Everyone is invited to attend and contribute to the conversation.

Blenz is located at 122-22441 Dewdney Trunk Rd. No Pre-registration is required for the event, and admission is by donation.

The Philosophers’ Café will continue to run every month this year after an autumn hiatus. The café will be held at 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of every month. The event, sponsored by SFU at sites around the province, has won awards and is serving as a model for others around the world.

Upcoming topics: "What is love? Idol, ideal or no deal” in February; “God: How are global technologies changing the way we communicate on a personal level?” in March.
