Come find The Lost Fingers
With their irresistible sound and style that crosses borders, The Lost Fingers' shows have become a must-see attraction across the world.
The Lost Fingers, with their signature colourful suits, quirky and upbeat tunes, perform in both French and English.
The trio featuring B.C.'s Byron Mikaloff (guitar), Christian Roberge (guitar) and Alex Morissette (jazz bassist) met at the Quebec Conservatory of Music. The band's name is inspired by gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt who lost the use of two fingers following a fire and who's unique style of gypsy jazz influences the band.
In terms of 2008 domestic sales by Canadian artists, their debut album, Lost in the 80's, was second only to Nickelback's Dark Horse.
Within 12 weeks of its release it earned platinum certification for over 100,000 sales in Quebec alone. With two JUNO Award nominations (2009), sold out shows at The Cultural Oympiad and at The ACT in 2010, audiences will enjoy songs from their previous albums and their recently released fourth album, La Marquise. Their accomplishments are plenty and have been achieved all within the short six years of their meeting.
• The Lost Fingers play the ACT in Maple Ridge at 8 p.m. on Nov. 15
