The Garibaldi Art Club holds its fall show in Maple Ridge this weekend.

The 54th annual event will feature new original paintings in all genres and media as well as pottery, ceramics and art cards.

The Garibaldi Art Club was started by a group of artists who got together in their homes to paint.

Since then, the group has met in the Albion community centre and at various municipal locations.

The club hosts many community art workshops and played a significant role in raising money for The ACT.

Many of the club members have also contributed their art on the walls of the Maple Ridge municipal hall main entrance.

Showtime

The Garibaldi Art Club’s fall show is at Fraserview Village Hall, 22610 – 116th Ave. The show begins Friday, Nov. 16 with an opening reception from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and continues Saturday, Nov. 17 and Sunday, Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
