Oliver returns to Maple Ridge
Oliver, the musical, returns for a second run at the ACT next week.
The production by SPECC-tacular Theatre is back by popular demand.
Adapted from the book Oliver Twist, written by Charles Dickens, Lionel Bart’s musical is filled with unforgettable, foot tapping songs, including Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick a Pocket or Two, I’d Do Anything, As Long As He Needs Me, Where Is Love, and many more.
Oliver! isn’t feel-good fare. It’s the story of a young orphan boy who flees a work house and stumbles into the mean streets of London, where he struggles to survive while meeting some memorable and downright scary characters along the way. He gets entangled with a gang of pickpockets, is threatened by an East End villain and witnesses a brutal murder.
Showtime
Oliver plays March28 -31. There are matinee shows. For showtimes & tickets, visit actmapleridge.org.
