SPECC-tacular Productions set for magic carpet ride
A magical cast of characters have begun rehearsing for SPECC-tacular Productions annual Christmas pantomime.
This December, let SPECC-tacular whisk you away to the exciting world of Aladdin.
New to the troupe this year are Trevor Gysbertsen who plays Aladdin, Narisa Vence Windover as Princess Sushi, Joshua Nicholas who plays the Demon, Jenna Diersch as the Ring Genie, Kia Paquette as Genie of the Lamp and Grace Tan who plays Yoo Hoo.
The cast also includes seasoned veterans: Su Wolfe as Fairy Liquid, Ed Marshall as the Emperor, Pauline De Silva as Hang Lo, Mike Stusiak as the crafty Abanaza, Brandalyn Meskas as Police Officer Ping and Lynsey Teasdale as Police Officer Pong.
Backing up this wonderful cast of characters is a delivery boy played by Elliot Banbury and a host of villagers played by Tyson Aubin, Jess Piper Douglas, Kimie Takusagawa, Faith Tan, Ella Nicholas, Sally Davis and Mia Martinez.
Aladdin is directed by Su Wolfe with Ed Marshall as artistic director. Set construction is coordinated and managed by Mike Stusiak and Pauline De Silva. Along with dancers from the Maple Ridge Dance Circle under the expert direction of choreographer Susan Mitchell, the show will have you laughing and tapping your toes at this wonderful retelling of the story of Aladdin.
The costumes are “out of this world” says producer Christine Olorenshaw, artfully crafted by costume designer and manager Julie Milroy with props are expertly made by Susan Crape.
