If you are a local musician, you probably know John Marven.
As music coordinator for the Haney Farmers Market, he has his finger on the pulse of local musical talent and programs weekly entertainment for thousands of visitors throughout the season.
A regular at Kanaka Creek Coffee Houses, Marven knows first hand the talent pool of local performers. He’s lined up Pitt Meadows’ Penelope Above to headline the Earth Day performances.
Penelope Above is a four piece contemporary rock band, who are best seen live.
All members were born and raised in Pitt Meadows, and have spent the past few years touring B.C.
Encompassing a wide range of styles, blending strong and diverse vocals with groovy rhythms, Penelope Above continues to build on Canada’s proud tradition of original rock and roll music.
