Suspicious fire in downtown Maple Ridge
A detached garage in downtown Maple Ridge was damaged by fire early Tuesday.
A neighbour called 911 around 4 a.m. after he woke up and saw flames engulf the garage on St. Anne Avenue, near 223rd Street.
Assistant fire chief Howard Exner said the fire caused substantial damage to the detached garage but did not spread.
The fire has been deemed suspicious and RCMP are investigating.
