Cyclist injured in hit and run crash
Police are looking for the driver of a car that struck a cyclist early Wednesday in east Maple Ridge.
Ridge Meadows RCMP were called around 5:30 a.m. after the cyclist was found on lying on the road by a passerby.
The 51-year-old man was wearing reflective clothing, a bike helmet, and had a bicycle light on. He was traveling west on Dewdney Trunk Road when he was struck from behind by a vehicle near 240th Street.
The cyclist was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are looking for anyone who may be involved, or witnessed the accident.
