Family concerned about missing 59-year-old Langley man
Family and friends of Langley’s Dan Rikkinen are worried sick, since the 59-year-old disappeared after visiting his wife at Langley Memorial on Thursday, Nov. 22.
“He’s never gone missing. He’s always been a steady and solid guy,” said his niece, Denise Powell, on Wednesday. “It’s completely out of character for him.”
Rikkinen’s wife is in poor health and had been admitted to hospital on Nov. 18. He had visited her daily.
But after his disappearance on Nov. 22, a large withdrawal was made from his bank account the following day. But that actually isn’t too out of character, said Powell. Rikkinen usually dealt in cash.
Rikkinen drives a maroon-coloured 1993 Chevrolet Cheyenne pickup truck with a canopy, licence plate EH2194.
He is described as five feet, six inches tall, 160-170 pounds, with brown hair, blue eyes and a long brown beard.
If you know of his whereabouts, contact Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
