Jepsen won't perform at Boy Scouts Jamboree
Carly Rae Jepsen will not be participating in the Boy Scouts of America Jamboree this summer.
The Mission singer, and performers Train, were asked to headline the group's event, but both have since backed out after more than 60,000 people signed an online petition urging Jepsen to denounce the national ban on gay Scouts and leaders.
In a Tweet sent this morning (March 5), Jepsen says she believes in equality for all, and "I always have and will continue to support the LGBT community on a global level."
Train said they will not perform at the jamboree unless the ban is lifted.
The petition was started by gay Eagle Scout Derek Nance.
