Man under peace bond for child porn possession
A Maple Ridge man found in possession of child pornography will have to abide by strict conditions for the next year.
Instead of trying Kenneth Lloyd Storey on one count of possession of child porn, the Crown decided to seek a year-long peace bond – a preventative court order that prohibits him from accessing the Internet or being near children.
Storey received the Section 810 peace bond on Thursday and will be have to abide by the conditions until Oct. 17, 2014.
Storey, 57, was arrested and charged in July 2012 following an investigation by the RCMP’s Integrated Child Exploitation Team and Integrated Tech Crimes Unit.
Police would not reveal how much child pornography he was found in possession of.
As per the peace bond, Storey is prohibited from having any contact with children 16 year or younger unless an authorized adult is present.
He is not allowed to visit parks, playgrounds, schools, swimming pools or anywhere children may be present.
He must receive counselling as directed and attend a forensic psychiatric clinic.
He is not allowed to use a computer or to communicate with children.
Ridge Meadows RCMP are aware of Storey’s peace bond and will be monitor him to ensure he abides by the conditions.
