Coroner IDs man found dead after fire

The B.C. Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man found dead after fire ripped through a townhouse fire in Maple Ridge last week.

He is Craig Peter Philip Davey, 37, of Maple Ridge.

Neighbours called 911 shortly after 11 p.m. June 19 after noticing flames shooting out of Davey’s townhouse on 207A Street in Maple Ridge.

Fire had engulfed the home by the time firefighters arrived on scene.

The Maple Ridge Fire Department extinguished the flames and found Dave deceased on the second floor.

The B.C. Coroners Service, RCMP and fire investigators continue to investigate Davey’s death and notified his family.
