Police seized an assortment of illegal drugs on Wednesday from a house in downtown Maple Ridge that’s been busted several times before.

Ridge Meadows RCMP’s Street Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at the home in the 11600 block of 224 Street just before noon.

The house, located next to TAGGS medical marijuana dispensary, was the site of a meth lab explosion in 2011 and a second meth-related accident in 2012, when a tenant was burned by chemicals.

Oxycontin, methamphetamine, heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana and cash linked to drug dealing were seized by police this time. Officers also found a gun inside the house.

Eight people who were inside the house were arrested but later released.

Police are recommending charges under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act against four of the eight persons who were arrested.

The home now has a ‘No Occupancy’ order in place on request of the Maple Ridge Fire Department and bylaw officials.

Cpl. Alanna Dunlop said all suspects will make their court appearances at a later date.
