A Maple Ridge man could be facing charges after colliding with two vehicles on Wednesday, one being a police car.

A Coquitlam RCMP general duty police investigator attempted to pull over a vehicle just before 11 a.m. on Feb. 28 as part of a traffic stop at the corner of Kingsway Avenue and the Mary Hill Bypass in Port Coquitlam.

RCMP said the driver did not pull over and collided with the police car.

A short time later, another police officer attempted to pull over the same vehicle on Broadway Street, by the Mary Hill Bypass.

The vehicle collided with a civilian vehicle before a 29-year-old man was taken into custody, police said.

Injuries in both incidents were considered minor.

The Coquitlam RCMP’s Coordinated Collision Investigation Team is investigating both collisions.
