The Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows News has been recognized for excellence in community journalism.
Colleen Flanagan, a multi-media journalist with The News, won first place for best feature photo in the 12,500 and over circulation class for the 2017 Canadian Community Newspaper Association Awards.
Flanagan’s entry was titled “Fair features sitting swine.”
