Ridge Meadows RCMP are looking for possibly two suspects after a pair of food establishments were the target of robberies this past weekend.
The first robbery took place Friday around 9 p.m. at a Subway restaurant on Lougheed Highway near 228th Street.
A man walked into the restaurant, demanded money from the employees and ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police said he fled in a white car, possibly a Honda Civic.
He is described as a white man in his 20s, approximately six-feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black ski mask, black sweater, and blue jeans.
A day later, Ridge Meadows RCMP were called to a Domino’s Pizza in the 22500-block of Lougheed Highway.
Just after 9 p.m. on Saturday, a lone man walked into the store, pulled out a weapon and demanded money.
When the staff refused to follow his instructions, the man left.
He was seen getting into a green minivan, that drove west on Lougheed Hwy.
He is described as a white man, 5’10’’ with a thin build.
He was wearing a dark coloured hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and had a green pillow case over his head, which was recovered by police at the scene.
“At this time police aren’t sure if this was done by one or two suspects,” said Cpl. Alanna Dunlop.
“Although the suspect left Dominos without stealing anything, the attempt was certainly evident and is treated the same as the Friday night robbery.”

Scam alert
Ridge Meadows RCMP are alerting residents to a scam involving home theatre systems.
On Saturday, an 18-year-old man bought a home theatre system from a “friendly” salesman at Meadow Town mall. When the young man got home, he found out the system did not work.
Police said the man who sold the system was working out of a van and investigators are trying to find out who he is.
