Large police response to crisis at Maple Ridge homeless camp

A homeless camp resident has passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest at Anita Place Tent City.

At about 10 a.m. on Saturday there was a call for a cardiac arrest involving a camp resident.

The 51-year-old man died after being transported to hospital.

Paramedics and firefighters were doing chest compressions on the patient. RCMP officers in six vehicles responded, and were taking statements from camp residents.
