Pitt Meadows rec centre closed for renos

$1.4M for expansion of fitness centre and for building a new police station

The fitness centre at the Pitt Meadows Family Recreation Centre will be closed for three months as renovations begin to spruce it up.

The $1.4 million project will expand the fitness centre as well as the change rooms  and turn the RCMP’s office into a satellite station for police.

The renovations will an additional 2,100 sq. ft. to the RCMP office, including interview rooms and a space for breathalyzer tests.

The fitness centre will be closed for three months until March 2014.
