Ridge Meadows RCMP and Maple Ridge Fire Department are investigating a fire officials feel is suspicious in origin.
A home in the 12000 block of Dunbar Street was badly damaged, and fortunately the occupants of the home were uninjured.
Emergency crews were called to the home around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday August 3, 2013 finding the house fully engulfed in flames.
The fire department worked tirelessly to extinguish the blaze.
The home owners report hearing a popping sound, which woke them up, just before discovering the fire.
Maple Ridge Fire Department is leading the investigation on finding the origin, and determining if this is a deliberately set fire.
