Water Park built beside Albion ball park

Maple Ridge council green-lights construction of water play park

Albion sports fields will become more fun under the sun now that Maple Ridge council has OK’d construction of the Albion Sports Complex Water Play Park.

The approval came last week after council approved a contract for $300,470 awarded to TGK Irrigation.

Construction will start soon with completion date targeted for September.

Parks manager Bruce McLeod said the park will have an artificial stream, water cannons and jets, and a bioswale for treatment of water before it goes into the storm sewer system. Part of the park will be concrete and part will be sand.
