Work crews will be laying asphalt for a new bus stop pad on the westbound side of Lougheed Highway at Old Dewdney Trunk Road in Pitt Meadows on Wednesday morning.

“This work will impact a single-lane closure of the westbound HOV lane. Drivers can expect delays and are reminded to obey signs, traffic control personnel and watch for roadside workers,” according to Mainroad Group communications.

Work is to take place from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The existing bus stop will be temporarily relocated approximately 100 metres west of the current location. The bike and pedestrian path will be closed with a detour in place.

Afterwards, Coast Mountain Bus Company passengers will be able to safely wait for, board from and disembark on a protected sidewalk.

“We sincerely apologize to Coast Mountain Bus Company commuters and motorists for the short notice and any inconvenience.”
