Annar JACOBSEN

October 4, 2005

In Loving memory of

Annar Jacobsen

Born in Stokke, Norway June 13, 1932

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Annar Jacobsen, loving husband, father and grandfather. After a lengthy battle with cancer, Annar passed away peacefully at home on October 4, 2005 at the age of 73. He is survived by, his loving wife of 49 years Kari Synnove Jacobsen, their three daughters Vivi-Ann Krutz (Les), Lisa Jacobsen, Anita McGinnis (Gordon) and their grandchildren Ryan, Shawna, Lindsey, Natasha, Kayanna and Paige. He is also survived by his sisters (Berit, Bea) brothers (Reidar, Gunnar,) and their families. All who knew him will fondly remember Annar.

Annar dedicated the last 30 years of his life to teaching Blind people how to cross-country ski. In 1978 he brought "Ski for Light" to Canada - an organization that embraces blind skiers from all over the world for a one-week ski event every year.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the caregivers at the Logan Lake Health Centre.

No service by request of Annar. A

private family gathering will be held at a later date in his memory.
