JONES, Archie Kenneth
October 17, 1931 - June 10, 2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Archie Kenneth Jones on June 10, 2017. Missing him in his parting are his wife of 37 years Alice, children Robert (Lynn), Kelly (Ken) and their children Courtney (Colin), Bailey and Walker. His Five Step Children, Chris (Charlene), Sandi (Bernie), Lance (Peggy), Karen, Eric (Shaun ), their children Danielle, Tyson, Erica and Carl (Ashley) and family. Ken had been previously married to Lois Paine (deceased in 1974).
He was eldest of eight, four boys and four girls. His father was killed in the Second World War. The family lived in Invermay, Saskatchewan until Ken was sixteen when they moved to B.C.
Ken did not have much of an education due to polio illness in his younger years. However he was a hard working man from age 15 on. He worked the mills and mines until his doctor told him he could no longer work at jobs in these fields. A friend told him to work with him and his father who were janitors in office buildings. He continued working for over thirty years. Ending his working years as a custodian at Maple Ridge Hospital. We all love him and miss him and his great sense of humor.
