WILLETT - Beverley Grace Willett

(nee Popove)

Age 56, wife, mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, died peacefully at home on Friday, January 13, 2006 following a short but courageous battle with metastasized breast cancer to the lungs and brain.

Bev was born December 2, 1949, in the town of CeePeeCee, BC to the late

Alexander and Tina Popove. As a child Bev moved around with her family and finally settled in Fort St. John, BC in the late sixties where she met her future husband, Donald James Willett. Don and Bev married on July 11, 1970. The couple have 2 daughters, Natalie Ann, aged 33 and Stephanie Dawn age 30. Don and Bev moved to Pitt Meadows, BC in 1991 where they lived together until her death.

Bev, affectionately known as "Beaver-ley", centered her life on her family and friends. Bev worked hard in her professions and advanced over the years first at the Alaska Highway Daily News, in Fort St. John, BC and then at Classic Packaging, in Coquitlam, BC.

A celebration of Bev's life will be held on Wednesday, January 18th 2006 - 2:00pm at MAPLE RIDGE FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM located at 11969 - 216th Street, Maple Ridge, with refreshments to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society.

We would like to thank all of the medical professionals, family, friends, and neighbors who supported Bev, Don, Natalie and Stephanie since Bev was diagnosed with breast cancer in August, 2005.
