It is with profound grief and sadness we announce the sudden passing of Brian James Grabowski in a tragic motor vehicle accident near Toad River in Northern BC. He will be missed by his beloved Shayna and his adoring family - father Peter, mother Susan (Peter MacDonald), and his brothers David and Michael (Ainsley). In England by his "Grandmummy" Laura, Uncle Peter (Myriam) and cousins Margot (Steve), Lara and Vicki. As well as Shayna's family the Marshall's, and numerous friends throughout BC. Brian was born in Revelstoke, B.C. and had lived in Coquitlam since 1983 - attending Ranch Park Elementary, Dr Charles Best Junior High, Centennial High School and graduating from UBC with a degree in Civil Engineering. Since 2006 Brian had been living and working in Fort Nelson, and was due to return to Vancouver at the end of October to start a new phase in his life, with Shayna. Everyone who met Brian was touched by his gentleness, his infectious laugh and his goofy sense of humour. Brian lived life the way you are supposed to and will never be forgotten in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him, his energy is eternal. He was loved by all and will truly be missed. A viewing will be held from 5 - 7 pm on Saturday, October 24th at Burquitlam Funeral Home, 625 North Road, Coquitlam, followed by a Celebration of Brian's Life from 4 - 7 pm on Sunday, October 25th at the Westwood Golf & Country Club (Panorama Room), 3251 Plateau Blvd., Coquitlam. No flowers or gifts please, in lieu - Brian would appreciate donations to Canuck Place Children's Hospice (1690 Matthews Avenue, Vancouver, BC, V6J 2T2) as he was a huge Canucks fan, or a donation to your favourite charity.
