GRIBLING, Calvin Eugene

March 16, 1925 - September 21, 2010

The last of his generation.

He was predeceased by three brothers, two sisters, and his daughter Kathy. He is survived by his wife of 65 yrs Marjorie, son Bob (Jean), daughter Gloria, grandchildren Bronwyn Tricia (Chris), Barbara, and Geoff (Elena) & great - granddaughter Lauren.

He was born in Trochu, Alberta and moved to BC in 1936. He later lived in Kelowna, Salmon Arm, North Vancouver and Maple Ridge. He was a journeyman plasterer and cement mason, a carpenter and brick layer. Calvin was an avid amateur geologist and wandered many of the back roads and mountains of BC. When not doing that he wandered the fairways, greens and roughs of Meadow Gardens Golf Course of which he was a long time member. Calvin was irreplaceable to his family, loyal and steadfast to both family and friends. He would always be there.

His family is grateful to the many medical professionals who made his final days so much easier. There will be no service by request. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Those who wish to memorialize Calvin may make donations in his name to the McKinney Creek Hospice in Maple Ridge, BC.
