HEWGILL Cora May
Cora May Hewgill, nee Arnott, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2008, in Maple Ridge B.C. at the age of 92. She was predeceased in April 2008 by Elwood, her husband of seventy years. Cora is survived by their four children Denton, Vivian Kapusta, Ralph and Wayne and six grandchildren: Greg, Randy, David, Joy, Russ and Shannon. Cora, born on March 29th, 1916 in Osprey Twp. Ontario., is the daughter of Robert and Alice (nee Field) Arnott. Cora is predeceased by her brother Sherdy, sisters Dolly and Violette. Cora and Elwood were active members of the Highlands Church in North Vancouver. Cora volunteered in the community and the church. She was known for her beautiful sewing, smocking and knitting. Elwood and Cora moved from North Vancouver to Maple Ridge in 1989, where Elwood was active in the arts community. The kind and considerate care of the staff at Park Place, Ridge Meadows Hospital, was appreciated by the family. Memorial donations may be made in Cora's memory to the Canadian Alzheimer's Society.
