BISHOP ~ David
Died on Thursday, April 20, 2006 due to complications of pneumonia. Born on July 5, 1961, he leaves behind his father, Michael, of Deep Cove, brother Peter of New Westminster, and mother, Maralynne, brother Paul, sister-in-law Cecile and niece Gabrielle, all of Gibsons. Although born with a variety of ailments, including Marie-Charcot-Tooth Syndrome, he was an active, happy toddler and was reluctantly placed in care at Woodlands. The onset of blindness later in life did not stop him from exploring his world or decrease his joyful interaction with those around him. He is greatly missed by Karen and Katalin and everyone with Younghusband Resources, who are to be commended for their fine work. In lieu of flowers, seek out those who look after our children and adults with special needs and acknowledge them for the work they do.
My soul is full of whispered song;
My blindness is my sight; The shadows that I feared so long, Are all alive with light. ~Alice Cary, Dying Hymn
