Passed away peacefully February 24, 2006 in his 81st year after a long battle with complications from diabetes, stroke, and dementia. Don was predeceased by his wife Margaret (Biggan), his daughter Glenna Dawne, his sisters Eileen and Doris and his brothers Stan, Ted, Jack, and Danny. He is survived by his sons Donald Francis (Frank) Henry, Terrence (Terry) Ray , and James (Jamie) Duncan , his daughters-in-law Lois and Pat and his grand-children Denise, Tyler, Laura, Jennifer, Kelly and Trevor. Donald was a war veteran, a past president for the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and a proud member of the Elks and Army and Navy clubs. Don was an excellent lacrosse and baseball player in his youth and a handball player at the New Westminster YMCA for several years. A memorial service will be held in Don’s honour at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at St. Laurence Anglican Church, 825 St. Laurence Street, Coquitlam, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice.
