CORDONI, Doris (nee JENSEN)
Born April 18, 1923, passed away quietly on the morning of October 12th, 2009. Doris was the youngest of 13 children from a farm near Eagle Creek, Sask. She came to B.C. where she met and married Tony, from a fishing family of Fort Langley, in 1942. Together they fished the Fraser River and sites along the west coast. Doris worked as a Nurse’s Aide at Valleyview Hospital from 1953 until 1977. She liked working with the seniors in her care and made many friends among the staff. She enjoyed get-to-gethers with family and friends, singing and playing her guitar and telling a good joke. She is survived by her husband Tony; 2 sons, Ricardo (Sharon); and Monte (Mary); 5 grandchildren, Che, Marcus, Angela (Chad), Jason (Deanna), and Lewis (Rosie); 4 great-grandchildren, Halen, Rebecca, Ryan and Carissa. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation. Special Thanks to the staff at Baillie House for the care given to Mom.
