WORKMAN - DOUGLAS D., on May 15th, 2005. Late of Maple Ridge, B.C., age 79 years. Doug passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord with his loving family at his side. He was predeceased by infant son David; adult son Jeffrey and sister Sharon West. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Mary, sons Daniel (Diane); Kenneth; and Timothy; daughter Leanne (Gord) Boyle; his 2 precious grandsons, Geoffrey and Ross Boyle; brother Dick (Helga)Workman; sisters, Lorraine Brown and Gail Workman; and brother-in-law Daryl West, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Longtime resident of Maple Ridge since 1937. Veteran of WW II. Proprietor of family Workman Shell Service Station. Later employed at B.C.I.T. as Drafting Technician and then as Instructor. In his retirement years he loved to spend time at “the cabin”. He loved the outdoors, fishing and canoeing, also curling with the master’s league, and church fellowship. The family much appreciated all the cards, visits, and phone calls, and wonderful staff of Home Care. If so desired, please donate to B.C. Cancer Society or Gideon Bibles.
