EDEY ~ Edward "Gordon"
Born November 26, 1912 in Bow Valley, Alberta passed away peacefully on June 8, 2006 with family beside him at Ridge Meadows Hospital, Maple Ridge, BC. Predeceased by wife - Dorothy, 2 sisters Loretta and Margaret, 2 brothers Jack and Charlie. Pre-deceased by parents father Alexander and mother Margaret. Survived by son Lorne, daughter Linda (Mark), grandchildren Monique (Tim) and Josh, great grandchildren Daniel and Kaitlyn, brother Ray and sisters Mary, Eileen and Jean. Special friend for 2½ years Donna Keen. He will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews other family members and many friends. Gordon was a war veteran from the 49th Royal Regiment, Edmonton, Alberta. He was overseas in the 2nd World War 1940 - 1945. Gordon has been cremated. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, August 27th 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Willow Manor 12275 - 224th Street, Maple Ridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation 1166 Laity Street, Maple Ridge, BC V2X 7G5. Special thanks to all of the Doctors and the nursing staff at Ridge Meadows Hospital for making Gordon's last days peaceful.
