Allan ~ Elizabeth ‘June’ Nov. 18, 1933– Aug. 27, 2009
It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of June on Aug. 27, 2009, after a valiant struggle with cancer. Predeceased by her husband Bill in 2006, she leaves her very loved and treasured family, Randy (Dorothy), Kathy (Stan), Chris (Darlene), Brad, Leahann, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many, many friends. Until her retirement in 1983 June was the Office Manager for W.E. Dunning Publishing Co. (the Maple Ridge Gazette, Port Coquitlam Herald and the Sunday News). For many years June and Bill enjoyed travelling – Canada, US, Britain and Europe, on their Honda Gold Wing Aspencade. A gifted artist, working in oil & pastel, June was very humble of her talent. June was a woman of courage, generosity, inner strength and outer beauty. She was an inspiration to all. Her greatest love and treasure was her family.
A Celebration of June’s Life will be held Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009 at 2:00pm First Memorial Burkeview Chapel, 1340 Dominion Ave., Port Coquitlam, B.C. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Maple Ridge Hospice Society or a Charity of your choice.
