Enid ERIKSEN

October 25, 2010

ERIKSEN, Enid Mae (Nee Palmer)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Enid on October 25, 2010. The loving wife of the late Erik Eriksen and a wonderful mother. She will be greatly missed by her children Alv (Georgia), Lynn (Grant) & Wayne (Darleen). A proud and loving grandmother to Stephanie, Hannah, Nicole, Lisa, Travis, Melissa and Rachelle and an aunt to many nieces and nephews. Born in northern Ontario in the small town of Cochrane on August 3, 1924. Enid had two brothers and 3 sisters. Predeceased by brother Bert and sister Lysle, Enid is survived by her sisters Nancy and Ada, and brother Peter. The Palmer family moved to Gravenhurst, Ontario during her teenage years. It was there she met and married Erik Eriksen, who was Norwegian stationed there during the war. Enid and Erik moved to Vancouver while her brothers and sisters moved within Ontario and British Columbia. Family was everything to Enid. She was the glue that kept the entire family together. Mom was a great bowler and loved to dance in her younger years. She was an avid gardener, fantastic cook, an amazing knitter and always on top of current events.

Mom was thoughtful, forgiving, kind, loving and always put others needs before her own. She will always be missed, every day, by us all. As Enid requested, a private memorial will be held for family members. If desired, donations in lieu of flowers to a charity of your choice would be welcomed.
