It is with heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Flora on September 22, 2008 at the age of 87. Predeceased by her husband Clarence in 1971, she is survived and sadly missed by her son Lorne (Lenore) Butt, daughter Sandra Scherer and grandson Michael Butt, as well as her brother Gordon (Margaret) Aitken and sister Betty MacDougal, both of Scotland. Born in 1921 in Tarves, Scotland, Flora immigrated to Canada as a war bride in January 1947. She lived in Victoria, B.C. along with her husband for several years until they moved to Maple Ridge where she has resided ever since. She was a Registered Nurse at Maple Ridge Hospital during her working years until she retired in 1986. A private service will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
