WALKER: George Greig
Born May 13, 1935 in Edmonton AB - Passed away August 4 2008 in Surrey, BC. Greig (Captain Billy (Crunch) sailed off into the sunset Monday evening with his beloved family by his side. Our sailing buddy and Master Baker is survived by his Mother Elva Walker, Brother Robert (Marion), mother-in-law Muriel Sutton, brothers-in-law Alan (Sandi), Robert (Marlene). His loving wife of 45 years Evelyn, his adored children, Debra (Dustin), Sandra (Mitch), James (Harmony), Robert (Chrystie), Bryan Linn (Tanya). 17 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandson, all whom he loved as much as life and who returned that love to their Poppa. His extended family of many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and special friends whom he loved dearly. Greig owned and operated Walkers’ Family Bakery and Deli in Maple Ridge for 20 years. He was an avid sailor and taught his incredible sailing skills to many. Greig will remain in all our hearts forever. Farewell love of my life.
A celebration of Greigs’ life will be held on 16 Aug. 2008 at 10:00AM at Maple Ridge Christian Reformed Church. 20245 Dewdney Trunk Rd. Maple Ridge, B.C. V2X 3C9. Please join us after the service for refreshments and snacks in the church reception room. The family requests no flowers.
