It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Georgette Gauvin on November 2nd, 2009. At McKenney Creek Hospice. Born December 21st, 1931 in Berlin Germany, arrived in Canada in 1954 the wife of a Canadian Soldier. She leaves behind friend and companion Don McCrindle. She is survived by her loving children David (Linda), Rudy (Sherry), Anne (Brad), Mona (Forrest), Donald, Cory and her much loved grandchildren and great- grandchildren. We will always remember her Spirit for laughter, dancing and fun. Many thanks to Dr. Connor for her care and support and to all the nurses, volunteers and staff of McKinney Creek that made this difficult journey a loving, caring, respectful experience. A Celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, November 29th at 1 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion 12101 - 224 Street, Maple Ridge. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations instead be directed to the Ridge Meadows Hospice Society or the Canadian Cancer Society, in her name.
