PAULSEN, Gerald Wilfred,

Born July 13, 1923 in Hanley, Saskatchewan. Passed away in Ridge-Meadows Hospital October 4th, 2005. Survived by his loving family, wife Freda of 56 years, daughter Marie and son-in-law Gary Esau of Vernon; sons Lloyd, Mission; Merle, Hammond; Special grandsons Jason, Vernon; Darren, Victoria and brother Paul, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Survived also by sister-in-law Sybil of Maple Ridge and Doris of Minnesota and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Arnold of Maple Ridge, Ed, sisters Rose and Inga of Minnesota. After farming in Hanley, Gerald moved west to Port Alice where he worked for a number of years and where he met Freda. Later he moved to Maple Ridge where he and brother Arnold owned and operated Active Service. We will all miss Gerald – a kind, caring and truly gentle man. Memorial Service Saturday, October 8th at 11:00 A.M. in the MAPLE RIDGE FUNERAL CHAPEL (Osborn’s), 11969-216th Street. Rev. Greg Dalman officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the B.C. Cancer Society, would be appreciated.
