HAWK ~ Gloria Laura
(nee Peck)
Born July 31st, 1924 in Didsbury, Alberta, Gloria passed away peacefully the morning of September 16th, 2008. Gloria was predeceased by her Mother, Flora and her Father, Albert, her Aunt Laura and Uncle George (Drosses) (who raised her) and her husband of forty-seven years Walter (Red).
She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Sharon (George), her sons Brent (Sandra), and Brian (Susan), four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, her cousin Lorraine, and many other family and friends whose lives she touched with her helping ways and generosity.
She was a giving, caring woman all her life who knew one speed "fast-forward". During the past five years of failing health the hardest thing for her was not being able to do for others. Her life-long focus was the well being and happiness of her family.
Her last weekend with us was joyfully spent in celebration with family and friends in Kelowna.
A celebration of Mom's life will be held Saturday, October 4th, at 2p.m. at Victory Baptist Church, 2191 Prairie Avenue, Port Coquitlam. Refreshments will be served.
In lieu of flowers, make the time for your loved ones a priority. Donations to the BC Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
