SHEPHERD - GORDON WILLIAM. Born in Nanaimo June 19, 1926 passed away in Maple Ridge, June 9, 2005. Gordon is survived by his loving wife Sheila and family. Gail (Ron), Doug (Azra), Diane (Hardy) and Joan (Vern) and his adored grandchildren Nikolai, Anya and Sasha. He is also survived by his sister Beverly Bannister and brother in-law Ray Hellier, 5 nieces, 12 great nieces and nephews and his golden retriever Dusty. "Big Shep" - Teacher, Vice Principal, Hunter, Fisherman, Gardener, dog trainer but most important was his love of his family. A special Thank you for the wonderful care at Maple Ridge Hospital, especially the "Earth Angles" on 2 - West, and our caring and compassionate family doctor - Dr. Margaret Swift. In keeping with Gordon's wishes there will be a small private celebration of life at a later date.
