Harvey passed away peace- fully with his family by his side May 11, 2010. Harvey was born in Whitemouth, Manitoba into a large family of 14 children. He spent his early years in Kelowna and moved to Vancouver where he met the love of his life, Marion. They were married in 1950, and moved to Maple Ridge in 1968 where they raised their three children. Harvey is lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Marion, daughter Janice, sons Ken (Diane) & Ron (Sue) & grandchildren Amanda (Matt), Kevin, Carly, Jordan & Allison.
Harvey was a proud member of the Ironworkers Local 97 for over 50 years. His passions were farming, gardening and traveling, but he was happiest when surrounded by his family. Harvey lived a life full of love and will be deeply missed. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 12145 Laity Street, Maple Ridge, Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. A viewing will be held on Monday, May 17, 2010, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel (Osborns), 11969 – 216th Street, Maple Ridge. The family would like to thank Dr. L. Lim and staff for excellent medical care. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation at 604-472-0045.
