Passed away peacefully October 5, 2008 at McKenney Creek Hospice. She left Cobh Co Cork, Ireland on May 14, 1949 aboard the S.S. Washington to New York, and then by train to Vancouver.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Maurice, son Maurice (Judy), her grandchildren Kurtis and Samantha, as well as a brother, sisters, nieces, nephews and family. Helen was a member of the Eastern Star for many years. A special thanks for the wonderful care she received at McKenney Creek Hospice. Viewing will be held from 4 - 6pm on Thursday, October 9th at Garden Hill Funeral Chapel, 11765 - 224th St, Maple Ridge. Funeral Service to be held at 10am on Friday, October 10th at the Haney Presbyterian Church, 11858 - 216th St, Maple Ridge. Interment to follow at Maple Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Maple Ridge Home Care or the Canadian Cancer Society.
